All staff and students working with human samples are required to register, undertake training and maintain a Research Training Portfolio (RTP) in addition to laboratory specific induction and Lab Code of Conduct and Guidelines which must be completed before a researcher may work in any University of Lincoln laboratory.

The Research using Human Samples – Knowing your Responsibilities training session will:
- Outline the Human Tissue Act, 2004
- Describe the University of Lincoln approach to research with human tissue
- Seek input to further inform the process
Following this session, you will:
- Have an overview of the Human Tissue Act 2004
- Know when the Act applies
- Understand what constitutes best practice
- Be armed with advice to support compliance
- Know where to find help
